We provide the best quality services in the field of
environment and natural resources to ensure that all
Surinamers will be equipped to take wise, balanced decisions
about the sustainable development of Suriname's natural
resources and biodiversity.

Environmental protection can only be
successful if it includes in the devising and development of
environmental protection strategies the very people for whom
the environment is to be conserved. In addition, environment
has to be seen as that location which we are in contact with
on a daily basis, not as something that is far away and with
which we have no real connection.
The central values of the company are participation, respect
and social responsibility. These values are expressed by:
· applying the rules of fair trade in economic and cultural
relations
· respect for human rights in all activities of the company
· according responsibility to employees
· encouraging employees' active participation in the company
· applying generally accepted rules of socially responsible
entrepreneurship
To achieve the goals of the company the following strategies
are used:
· Partnerships to create synergistic achievement of nature
conservation goals, and generally work more efficiently and
effectively;
· Network with relevant experts of other developing nations
to enhance the quality, depth and range of programmes;
· Coach and mentor young professionals and recruit them for
company projects;
· Build synergies between Government, NGOs, CBOs and SEAS to
maximize the impact of activities;
· Build on the experiences and knowledge of other groups;
· Encourage employees to perform community service and allow
some flexible hours for them to do so;
· Build support networks among civil society for the
different projects undertaken. |
